Of Photography...

I have always love photography but was unable to do so before since photography is an expensive hobby. So when I retired and have some money to spend on my hobby I took to photography seriously.  Learning to do a better job along the way. It not just snap and go thing. It need thinking and know what to see through the lens of the camera. One get to see more through the lens. Without the camera we only see scenes in general and it only through the lens that we can focus on that single scene. In Macro Photography we see more which we otherwise w ould not notice with the normal lens. My  FB friend Teh Lian Chye translate what he see and draw it which to me is not possible since I do not have the eyes and hand of an artist like him. Since I love nature and things of beauty I took to photography to represent what I saw and enjoy doing it. About is an image of the fishpond at my patio taken using the micro-lens; that in photography is call Macro Photography.   Have a nice day.

Of Yesterday-years...

Looking at the old albums I found this photo of the happening in the early sixties. It shows a scene of one of the events during our youth when we were busy organizing events for the young in Kuantan. In those days Youth Clubs were active in the urban area like in the town. This image shows us taking photo just before the annual Youth Club Dinner and Dance that were held at the Kuantan Town Hall. The whole hall was throng with the young both man and woman enjoying themselves in this once a year events. Those were the days folks; such a happy occasion indeed. Have a nice day.

The Nurses's Hostel Dance...

In those days it was normal for the nurses at the local hospital to organized function such as Dance at their hostel and invite others to attend it. Most of us who just start working at that times knows the nurses who works at the Kuantan Hospital. So when the time come for that annual dance we would be invited.  We were in our early twenties and still bachelors so it was fun to go for such dance and enjoy ourselves among friends there. Above are some scenes of the dance.  Have a nice day.

Of The Twilight Zone...

I thought that for today I would just share this wonderful experience that I had had some years ago. It sort of like an episode in the Twilight zone. Let me start this way. It about my friendship with a schoolmate of mine Jerry Lee. Jerry Lee and I had been classmate from the age of 11 years old when I start schooling at the Abdullah School [English school] in Kuantan, Pahang. I start schooling in 1946 after the war. The first three years was in the Malay School. When we move from the Malay school to the English school the first two years all of us from the Malay School were put into the Special Malay Class 1 and 2 in the English school. This was to prepare us to be integrated into the normal class in the English school starting in the Standard IV of the English Primary School. After that it would be just the normal classes in the English school until Form V. From then henceforth we were always in the same class all the years on until we finished schooling in 1957.
